Key Requirements for Eligibility:
To qualify for the debt-free promise, students must meet the following criteria:
• Regional Residency: Must be a permanent resident of one of these 11 Northwest Ohio counties: Allen, Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, Williams, or Wood.
• Academic Merit: Have earned a 3.0 cumulative high school or college GPA or higher.
• Financial Need: Qualify for the Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG) through the FAFSA.
• Commuter Status: Maintain commuter status (living at their permanent residence) while enrolled at Defiance College
