Features
Our students stack professional experiences, like internships or research, on top of what they study. That leads to a deeper level of learning and helps build an attractive resume before graduation. Coe has been a Top 25 Best Private Schools for Internships for 6 of the last 8 years according to The Princeton Review, and we are also one of just a few private colleges to be a Research for Undergraduate Experiences site, which is sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
Students will become part of a nurturing and lively campus environment. Living and learning go hand-in-hand and we want students to live their best life with great friends. We have the Best Student Support & Counseling Services in Iowa (#14 in the nation) according to The Princeton Review. Plus, our location -- Cedar Rapids, Iowa -- has arts, museums, parks, trails, semi-professional sports and festivals — all the amenities of a larger city.
Every Coe student receives a personal career counselor, a success coach, an academic advisor and a financial aid counselor.
In 2023, we welcomed 29 students from Iowa Wesleyan University to our campus as this longtime liberal arts institution closed. At Coe's graduation, each Iowa Wesleyan student is adorned with a purple chord to recognize their time at their original institution. We would be honored to adorn your students with terracotta colored chords as they graduate from Coe College and believe that we could take good care of each of them.
