Lourdes University Welcomes Scott Wills as Vice President of Institutional Advancement

Lourdes University is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Wills as the new Vice President of Institutional Advancement. Wills will officially begin his tenure on June 17, bringing with him over two decades of leadership experience in higher education advancement and a robust background in the private sector.

At Culver-Stockton College in Missouri and previously at Alma College in Michigan, Mr. Wills led the functional areas of major and planned gifts, alumni relations, advancement services, prospect research, and stewardship. His tenure at both institutions was marked by significant increases in constituent engagement and overall support.

In addition to his roles at Culver-Stockton and Alma College, Mr. Wills spent twenty years at Ohio Northern University in increasing leadership capacities, including Assistant Vice President, Senior Director of Development, and Director of Annual Giving. Alongside his advancement responsibilities, he also served as the Women’s Tennis Coach.

Mr. Wills brings extensive campaign experience to Lourdes, having led several successful comprehensive and targeted campaigns garnering support for capital projects, endowment, annual funds, academic programs, student scholarships, annual support, campus ministry, health and wellness, the arts, and athletics.

During his work in the private sector, Mr. Wills held various positions in customer service, marketing, and new product development at American Electric Power, working in Columbus, Canton, and Fort Wayne.

His commitment to service extends beyond his professional roles, having volunteered for organizations such as United Way, Junior Achievement, United States Tennis Association, and Phi Mu Delta Fraternity.

Mr. Wills holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio Northern University and an MBA from Ashland University. His extensive experience and proven track record of success make him a valuable addition to the Lourdes University leadership team.
