Lourdes University is thrilled to announce remarkable improvements in the performance of its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students on the NCLEX exam. The NCLEX is a standardized exam by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, evaluating nursing graduates’ readiness to practice. Passing indicates meeting the safe and effective nursing practice standard at entry level and testing critical-thinking ability in practical nursing scenarios. According to the latest semiannual report, Lourdes University’s BSN program has seen a dramatic increase in pass rates, marking a significant milestone in the nursing department’s commitment to excellence.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, Lourdes’ BSN NCLEX pass rate soared to an impressive 94.59%.

“We are thrilled to see our students excel with strong NCLEX pass rates this year,” says Dr. Jennifer Barber, Program Director of Undergraduate Studies within Lourdes University’s College of Nursing and Social Sciences. “Our students have worked extremely hard, and it’s rewarding to see their efforts pay off and be able to start their new careers. This achievement reflects our faculty’s dedication to enhancing our curriculum, providing targeted support for our students, and continuously improving our teaching strategies.”

These results are not only a celebration of students’ achievements but also a confirmation of the rigorous standards and supportive environment provided by Lourdes University’s nursing department. The significant progress in both pass rates and program ranking highlights the ongoing dedication to delivering high-quality nursing education and preparing graduates for successful careers in healthcare.
