Alumni Association Board At-Large Member Application

JOB DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS

Purpose
The At-Large Member (ALM) is a two-year elected position. The ALM represents the interests of the general membership.

Expectations

  1. Attend Board meetings and Committee meetings.
  2. Willingness to participate actively on one alumni committee, (Alumni Connection Events, Nominations, or Partnerships).
  3. Volunteer for and willingly accept assignments, completing them thoroughly and on time.
  4. Stay informed about board matters, prepare well for meetings, review and comment on minutes and reports and communicate regularly with Alumni Relations Officer.
  5. Get to know other board members and build a mutually respectful working relationship that contributes to consensus.
  6. Support alumni events for the association and the University by attending 3-4 events outside regularly scheduled board meetings.
  7. Provide annual donation of a minimum of $100 during term of service.

ALUMNI COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

Alumni Connection Events (ACE): The ACE committee is responsible for organizing, planning, and staffing three alumni events per year. The committee is also responsible for tracking alumni participation at Lourdes University events. This committee will work to enhance alumni involvement and participation in the Lourdes University Alumni Association sponsored events, increasing alumni financial support.

Partnerships: The Partnerships Committee is responsible for identifying and cultivating partnerships between the Lourdes University Alumni Association and community resources in addition to building stronger campus affiliations.

Nominations: The Nominations Committee is responsible for the ongoing search for officers and at-large members for the Lourdes University Alumni Association Board of Directors. The committee will present the slate of board members at the Association’s annual dinner in the fall each year. Committee members will work closely with the Alumni Relations Officer to research and present potential board candidates.
