Our staff of resident directors and student resident assistants, all of whom live among the students, address the needs of all residential students. The residence life staff will offer on-site programs to help students grow and develop their independence.

Lourdes University has housing available for non-traditional and graduate students. These apartments come both furnished and unfurnished. We have one and two-bedroom apartments available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students in a two-bedroom apartment may reside with another graduate or non-traditional student. We will try to meet each student’s first choice but cannot guarantee priority placement.

If this is an urgent maintenance issue, such as flooding or loss of power, please contact your RA or call the RA duty phone at 567-694-4453.

By completing this form, you are acknowledging that a Lourdes facility staff person may enter your apartment to complete the maintenance request whether or not you are present.

WELCOME TO THE RESIDENT ASSISTANT SELECTION PROCESS!

By completing the online application below, you are expressing your interest in one of the most important student leadership positions available at Lourdes University. Resident Assistants are community leaders, educators, counselors, friends, change agents, advisors, policy enforcers, and team players. If hired and placed as an RA, you will play a critical role in shaping a floor/building community and will involve student residents in that community. The demands on RAs are complex, but the material and nonmaterial benefits are extremely rewarding. The Resident Assistant position is the toughest job you’ll ever love.

What is Resident Assistant (RA)

RAs are part-time, student staff members who live in residence halls. The mission of Residence Life at Lourdes University is to empower residence hall students and staff to create safe, caring, and inclusive communities. RAs encourage and support students in academic and personal growth by fostering awareness, appreciation, and development of skills to succeed in a diverse, global society. Finally, RAs are role models within their communities, demonstrating responsible and ethical behavior. RAs play a pivotal role in our department and are a vital resource for many members of the campus community.

Minimum Qualifications

1. At least one year experience living in a residence hall
2. Ability to work with a diverse student population
3. Full time student enrolled in a degree granting program
4. Minimum 2.75 cumulative G.P.A. at time of application and a 2.0 for semester GPA must be maintained through time of employment
5. Free of any Lourdes University Judicial Sanctions
6. Ability to serve the whole academic year is preferred

Items Worth Noting

When you apply for the position, you are not applying for any specific building. Rather, your file will become active campus-wide and your skills and interests will be matched with available openings. If you are offered a position and choose not to accept it, your file will become inactive. You will need to complete a new application if you wish to be considered for an RA position in the future. THE DEN

Located in Sylvan Square, The Den has been a dedicated space for students to gather, host events, hold meetings, or study. This fall, it doubled in size and the additional 5,000 square feet includes residence life offices, a large projection screen TV with seating, dining/study tables, three games tables, a ping-pong table, and a video game center.

RECREATION CENTER

The Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center serves as the home court for the Gray Wolves basketball and volleyball teams and is available for use during posted hours.

 

REC ROOM

Located in Sylvan Square near Lourdes Commons housing, The Rec Room provides additional space for students looking to work out on various equipment.

If you are an incoming first-year or transfer student, please submit a housing application; the form is in the student portal.

If you are a graduate or non-traditional student, you will receive a separate email with information concerning renewing your housing.

WELCOME TO ROOM DRAW FOR THE 2025-2026 ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR!

To be eligible to participate in Room Draw for the 2025-2026 academic year, the following items must be true:

1. You are registered for at least 12 hours for the Fall 2025 term.
2. There is no financial hold on your student account.
3. There is no conduct hold on your account, or a current Community Standards case in progress.
4. Your housing application for the Fall 2025 term has been completed and submitted.

Students with 56 or more credits will attend room draw on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 2pm-4pm.

Students with 55 or fewer credits will attend room draw on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 2pm-4pm.

Room Draw for both days will be held in Lower Ebied Student Center.

Once the Room Draw process begins, students will be assigned housing based upon the following priority:

Students who have earned at least 84 credit hours:

1. In a case of more than one student requesting the same apartment who has earned at least 84 credit hours, preference will be given to the student with the most total hours earned.
2. In a case of two students with the same number of hours requesting the same apartment, preference will be given to the student who has earned the highest grade point average, then number of hours earned at Lourdes University.

Students who have earned at least 56 credit hours:

1. In a case of more than one student requesting the same apartment who has earned at least 56 credit hours, preference will be given to the student with the most total hours earned.
2. In a case of two students with the same number of hours requesting the same apartment, preference will be given to the student who has earned the highest grade point average, then number of hours earned at Lourdes University.

Students who have earned at least 28 credit hours:

1. In a case of more than one student requesting the same apartment who has earned at least 28 credit hours, preference will be given to the student with the most total hours earned.
2. In case of two students with the same number of hours requesting the same apartment, preference will be given to the student who has earned the highest grade point average, then number of hours earned at Lourdes University.

All other current residential students and enrolled Lourdes University students:

1. In case of two students with the same number of hours requesting the same apartment, preference will be given to the student who has earned the highest grade point average, then number of hours earned at Lourdes University.

A few things to keep in mind for the 2025-2026 Room Draw:

• Buyouts are not available during Room Draw this year –

• • Two-bedroom apartment selections must have 3 people.
  • Single bedroom apartment selections must have 2 people.
  • Apartments have been reserved for housing accommodations, which must be approved through the Office of Accessibility Services prior to Room Draw.

• If no roommate is chosen, you may be matched and moved based on your housing application responses.
• Emmanuel, Pioneer, and Rosaria are open selections to returning students; Ambrose is reserved for overflow only; Bonaventure and Justinian is reserved for first-year students and Junior Achievement.
• Carefully consider who you pick as your roommate(s), as it may not be easy to switch rooms after the fall semester begins because we plan to be at or near capacity in open residence halls.

• • Note: per the Residence Life Handbook, residents are not allowed to change rooms in the first two weeks of the start of the fall semester to give everyone time to adjust to their new living situation.

PRICES FOR HOUSING 2025-2026 TERMS

Undergraduate Students

• Single, one bedroom apartment with 2 residents (Rosaria or Pioneer): $3,200 each
• Two-bedroom apartment, Room A; small room with 1 resident (Emmanuel): $4,080
• Two-bedroom apartment, Room B; large room with 2 residents (Emmanuel): $3,200 each

Graduate Students

• Single, one bedroom apartment with 2 residents (Rosaria): $3,200 each
• Single, one bedroom apartment with 1 resident (Rosaria): $4,800

TO START YOUR ROOM DRAW PROCESS, YOU WILL NEED TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. Meet with your advisor and register for fall classes.
2. Check with Student Accounts to be sure you do not have financial holds on your account.
3. Be sure that any Community Standards charges or sanctions are resolved.
4. Complete and submit an online housing application through the Student Portal.
5. Come prepared to Room Draw with your first and second choices for a room, with at least two options for roommates.
   • Roommates MUST select the same apartment or room.
   • Students CANNOT choose rooms for someone else. Signatures will be recorded for all in-person selections.

Summer Housing

The price for summer housing for 2025 will be $1,500 per person, billed in full at the end of the Spring Semester. Students can meet with Student Accounts for payment options or for issues regarding their billing.

What you need to know or do if you plan to live on campus for the summer:

• Ambrose is the only residence hall that will be open during the summer. Space will be limited, and applications will be accepted as first come, first served basis.
• All summer residents will be required to have roommates. If you do not provide the name of someone living on campus during the summer, a roommate will be assigned to you.
• Summer Housing Applications can be completed using the hyperlink provided. Applications completed after April 20^th, 2025, may not be considered.
• Summer residences are reserved for students who are working on-campus jobs, completing classes, or are completing internships through Lourdes University. Lourdes University reserves the right to deny residence to students who do not meet these conditions.

Lourdes University does not require immunizations for admittance to the University. The University strongly recommends that you receive all of the following immunizations:

• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Two doses of MMR at least 28 days apart after 12 months of age
• Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (DT, TdaP, DTP, or TD): Booster dose within the past 10 years
• Hepatitis B: Series of 3 doses (Students participating in programs related to health, education, or studying abroad, may be required to be immunized against Hepatitis A and B).
• Meningitis Vaccine (Menactra): University populations are considered at increased risk, including students living in residence halls.

POLICY ON MENINGITIS AND HEPATITIS B

Ohio Revised Code Section 3345.85 for institutions of higher education requires that the institution maintain individual status records on meningococcal meningitis and Hepatitis B vaccinations for student living in on-campus housing. The Lourdes University Residence Hall Health History Consent & Release Form contains a section asking for the vaccination status of a student who will be living in a residence hall. A housing contract will not be accepted if this information is not completed.

The Ohio Revised Coded (ORC) Section 1713.55 states that beginning with the academic year that commences on or after July 1, 2005, an institution of higher education shall not permit a student to reside in on-campus housing unless the student (or parent if the student is younger than 18 years of age) discloses whether the student has been vaccinated against meningococcal disease and hepatitis B by submitting a meningitis and hepatitis B vaccination status statement.
