This applies to current undergraduate students at Lourdes University. Please read this email in its entirety.
If you are an incoming first-year or transfer student, please submit a housing application; the form is in the student portal.
If you are a graduate or non-traditional student, you will receive a separate email with information concerning renewing your housing.
WELCOME TO ROOM DRAW FOR THE 2025-2026 ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR!
To be eligible to participate in Room Draw for the 2025-2026 academic year, the following items must be true:
- You are registered for at least 12 hours for the Fall 2025 term.
- There is no financial hold on your student account.
- There is no conduct hold on your account, or a current Community Standards case in progress.
- Your housing application for the Fall 2025 term has been completed and submitted.
Students with 56 or more credits will attend room draw on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 2pm-4pm.
Students with 55 or fewer credits will attend room draw on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 2pm-4pm.
Room Draw for both days will be held in Lower Ebied Student Center.
Once the Room Draw process begins, students will be assigned housing based upon the following priority:
Students who have earned at least 84 credit hours:
- In a case of more than one student requesting the same apartment who has earned at least 84 credit hours, preference will be given to the student with the most total hours earned.
- In a case of two students with the same number of hours requesting the same apartment, preference will be given to the student who has earned the highest grade point average, then number of hours earned at Lourdes University.
Students who have earned at least 56 credit hours:
- In a case of more than one student requesting the same apartment who has earned at least 56 credit hours, preference will be given to the student with the most total hours earned.
- In a case of two students with the same number of hours requesting the same apartment, preference will be given to the student who has earned the highest grade point average, then number of hours earned at Lourdes University.
Students who have earned at least 28 credit hours:
- In a case of more than one student requesting the same apartment who has earned at least 28 credit hours, preference will be given to the student with the most total hours earned.
- In case of two students with the same number of hours requesting the same apartment, preference will be given to the student who has earned the highest grade point average, then number of hours earned at Lourdes University.
All other current residential students and enrolled Lourdes University students:
- In case of two students with the same number of hours requesting the same apartment, preference will be given to the student who has earned the highest grade point average, then number of hours earned at Lourdes University.
A few things to keep in mind for the 2025-2026 Room Draw:
- Buyouts are not available during Room Draw this year –

- Two-bedroom apartment selections must have 3 people.
- Single bedroom apartment selections must have 2 people.
- Apartments have been reserved for housing accommodations, which must be approved through the Office of Accessibility Services prior to Room Draw.
- If no roommate is chosen, you may be matched and moved based on your housing application responses.
- Emmanuel, Pioneer, and Rosaria are open selections to returning students; Ambrose is reserved for overflow only; Bonaventure and Justinian is reserved for first-year students and Junior Achievement.
- Carefully consider who you pick as your roommate(s), as it may not be easy to switch rooms after the fall semester begins because we plan to be at or near capacity in open residence halls.

- Note: per the Residence Life Handbook, residents are not allowed to change rooms in the first two weeks of the start of the fall semester to give everyone time to adjust to their new living situation.
PRICES FOR HOUSING 2025-2026 TERMS

Undergraduate Students
- Single, one bedroom apartment with 2 residents (Rosaria or Pioneer): $3,200 each
- Two-bedroom apartment, Room A; small room with 1 resident (Emmanuel): $4,080
- Two-bedroom apartment, Room B; large room with 2 residents (Emmanuel): $3,200 each
Graduate Students
- Single, one bedroom apartment with 2 residents (Rosaria): $3,200 each
- Single, one bedroom apartment with 1 resident (Rosaria): $4,800
TO START YOUR ROOM DRAW PROCESS, YOU WILL NEED TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
- Meet with your advisor and register for fall classes.
- Check with Student Accounts to be sure you do not have financial holds on your account.
- Be sure that any Community Standards charges or sanctions are resolved.
- Complete and submit an online housing application through the Student Portal.
- Come prepared to Room Draw with your first and second choices for a room, with at least two options for roommates.
- Roommates MUST select the same apartment or room.
- Students CANNOT choose rooms for someone else. Signatures will be recorded for all in-person selections.
Summer Housing
The price for summer housing for 2025 will be $1,500 per person, billed in full at the end of the Spring Semester. Students can meet with Student Accounts for payment options or for issues regarding their billing.
What you need to know or do if you plan to live on campus for the summer:
- Ambrose is the only residence hall that will be open during the summer. Space will be limited, and applications will be accepted as first come, first served basis.
- All summer residents will be required to have roommates. If you do not provide the name of someone living on campus during the summer, a roommate will be assigned to you.
- Summer Housing Applications can be completed using the hyperlink provided. Applications completed after April 20th, 2025, may not be considered.
- Summer residences are reserved for students who are working on-campus jobs, completing classes, or are completing internships through Lourdes University. Lourdes University reserves the right to deny residence to students who do not meet these conditions.
