Occupational Therapy

Pre-Occupational Therapy (BA in Biology With Concentration)

Bachelor of Arts

Occupational Therapists assist individuals in best engaging in their daily lives—both personally and on the job. The duties of an occupational therapist include helping those with illnesses, injuries, or disabilities to recover, develop, improve, and maintain necessary skills.

Students whose plans include applying to a professional school in Occupational Therapy may take the Bachelor of Arts in Biology Major. Many graduate training programs in Occupational Therapy are transitioning from Master’s (MOT) to Doctorate (OTD).

Admissions criteria will differ. Lourdes encourages students to work with their undergraduate advisor after identifying the requirements for graduate programs to which they are interested in applying.
