In addition to working with students to arrange and oversee field placements, she works closely with agency partners to cultivate strong relationships/affiliations that advance student preparation for professional practice.

Michelle received her Master’s in Social Work and Master’s in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Iowa, with a focus on housing and human services planning. She is a macro-level social worker with a diverse background in crisis intervention, community planning, nonprofit volunteer management, housing assistance, and disability services.

Michelle is passionate about the holistic support of every student and is especially committed to working with first-generation college students.
