Cybersecurity

Bachelor of Science

In today’s digital age, constant threats endanger individuals, corporations, and government systems. Advanced cyber threats are everywhere, demanding proactive measures to counter the challenges. In this program, Lourdes students will learn to anticipate and counteract evolving cyber threats and develop fundamental IT skills essential for cybersecurity roles in the 21st century.

Cybersecurity students learn how to protect the world from the next generation of criminals and bad actors. That becomes an important job and a great career as graduates help protect critical infrastructure, customer data, and businesses. As cyber-attacks become more sophisticated, people with the skills to prevent attacks become far more in demand.

In Lourdes’ Cybersecurity program, students learn about the different types of cyberattacks, how to defend against them, and how to recover from them. They also learn about network security, cryptography, and other cybersecurity technologies.

Here are just a few of the things you will learn in the Cybersecurity program:

  • How to identify and assess cybersecurity risks
  • How to develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • How to configure and secure computer systems and networks
  • How to detect and respond to cyberattacks
  • How to ethically hack and find your own system’s weaknesses
