Bachelor of Arts

An interdisciplinary degree by design, the Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies is ideal for those seeking a career in the education industry and support capacities at various schools. Graduates of the program can choose to pursue certification at the K-12 level with a Master’s degree.

Educational Studies majors can choose from two concentrations:

  1. Teaching and Learning
  2. Human Relations in Education

The Lourdes Division of Education undergraduate programs reflect the most current and extensive body of knowledge related to the education and development of learners.

The professional education curriculum and field experiences allow teaching candidates to learn and practice the art of teaching and gain a comprehensive understanding of the education field.

Educational Studies graduates can pursue positions in the education industry at nonprofit organizations, hospitals, museums, and public or private institutions.

Education students meet the Core Curriculum Requirement for Ethics through an integrated approach of studying ethics for educators in five courses (EDU 100/101, EDU 230, EDU 216, EDU 317/319, EDU 329).
